How Freight Works

Freight Forwarding is facilitating the transfer of goods between locations. In the LTL (or Less Than Truckload) world this means forwarding palletized product. Forwarders will contract with one or more carriers on behalf of their customers to arrange for the pickup, transportation and delivery of their customers product.

Forwarders arrange the different carriers, cross docks, border clearances and additional services needed to successfully transport product. The customer receives one bill for the service and does not have to worry about the specifics.

At ProPack we specialize in handling dozens of freight shipments on a daily basis. From quotes and setting up the shipment to tracking the shipment through its entire transit journey ProPack can manage your Freight Forwarding business needs.
