A Freight Shipment

A freight forwarding shipment is a consolidated group of one or more pallets/boxes/drums forwarded from one destination to another. Freight shipments can be sent via a combination of courier, truck, train, plane or boat. Shipments are most often sent LTL(Less Than Load) meaning the shipment does not have its own dedicated truck. Shipments also likely change couriers at cross dock locations multiple times throughout their transit journey.
