Why Dual Warehouse?

There are many very good reasons to use a 3PL company, but in my mind, nothing stands out like the dual warehouse model. I know I have talked about this before, but it is so important that it is worth repeating. It is one of the main reasons I chose this industry after retiring from FedEx. Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx and one of our most brilliant minds in shipping and business in general, stated that the dual warehouse model is greatly impacting the industry he created, reducing the need for Express delivery.

Another great company, Amazon.com has raised the bar for everyone with their 19 warehouses in the US which offers very fast delivery for a very low cost as zone charges are greatly reduced. In many cases, shippers can offer shipping for free. Fred Smith and Jeff Bezos changed the world’s expectations in commerce and how we get our products. They both saw the need to improve service but at a reasonable cost and what they created as the exception is now the standard.

I remember talking to a customer who is located in the Pacific Northwest about East Coast sales. He told me that they don’t even try to compete there as all else is equal, but they get killed on shipping. Instead of looking for a solution, he conceded that market to his competitors out there.

Who can afford to do that? Can you? The good news is that you don’t have to.

ProPack has done the heavy lifting for you. We did the research to find the ideal locations, we set up the warehouses, hired the employees, and created all the relationships and networks needed to do all of your shipping from a second location. All you have to do is send us your freight! We’ll stock our shelves with your product, take your orders and fulfill them, and put you on a level playing field with your competitors.

If something so simple, something that creates a win/win for all can put a dent in the sales of one of the greatest companies ever created, might you want to check it out and see what it’s about and how it can help you? Call us to find out more. Can you afford not to?
